Pastor Jerry McCleskey

Pastor Jerry McCleskey grew up in Oklahoma where at the age of twelve he gave his life to Jesus. Unfortunately, by the time he graduated high school he had already spent several years experimenting with drugs and alcohol. Little did he know that the drugs and alcohol would influence his life for years to come and eventually play a major part in his God-given ministry to others.

My Story

Jerry graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1978, where he received his Associate Degree in Sociology and Psychology. He went back to school and graduated from North Central Bible College in 1994 with a diploma in Music Evangelism.

Jerry struggled with addiction off and on throughout his schooling, and it was only after finding himself in a jail cell that he truly stopped and heard the voice of God say to him, “Now that I have your attention, are you going to listen to me?” He chose to listen, and rededicated his life to Jesus Christ.

In 2013 he became a part of Forerunner Ministries after meeting his mentor and friend Pastor Mark Johnson.

Jerry attended JICF many times while a resident at Metro Hope Ministries and each time the Holy Spirit gently pointed out the vision and purpose God had given to Sr. Pastor Michael Pilla for the church. Every Sunday Pastor Michael would welcome everyone to get involved with the church. God began to speak to his heart about becoming a part of that vision. It was then he knew the Lord was leading him to ministry at JICF.

Pastor Jerry joined the team at JICF in 2019 and has since received his license in Special Ministry with International Ministerial Fellowship. Among his many contributions to the ministries of Jesus in the City, he is on the worship team, speaks in some of the ongoing live feeds, teaches a weekly Bible study at a partnering church, and leads chapel services at Metro Hope Ministries. Jerry looks forward to continuing to contribute to the work involved with God’s fulfilling the vision for Jesus in the City Fellowship.
